Stephen Thomas Erlewine loves Paris Hilton!
I love Stephen Thomas Erlewine. He's such a fascinating critic-- his writing is always great, and his tastes can be quite unpredictable. He's never ashamed to admit it when he likes an album by, say, Pink, or Christina Aguilera.
But man... I'm having a hard time swallowing this latest review:

It's easy to hate Paris Hilton -- lord knows that she and her friends like Brandon Davis are walking advertisements against the repeal of the estate tax -- but any pop fan who listens to Paris with an open mind will find that it's nothing but fun.

Indeed. And so is Heather Phares for that matter! Both of them did review's of the Grand Theft Auto box set's and neither one mentioned about the songs that got cut from the box set! Who wants to pay a ridiculous price for the San Andreas box set that has SEVENTY songs missing, including the entire SF-UR (House station)!
Also it's worth noting that Stephen Thomas Erlewine is the NEPHEW of Allmusic's founder! That explains how a hack like him got a job there. I think Allmusic is good for information to look up, but not so good in terms of reviewers. So I think you should go there for the information and ignore the reviews from retards like Phares and you should do alright.
